I hate the current state of the internet, so I'm here to remold my experience with it.
Once upon a time ago, I used to fiddle with myspace and tumblr layouts, as well as graphics editing on the latter. It's been a long time since I've done any type of web coding, so I'm hella rusty, but I'm looking forward to using this cavas to make something reflective of me.

I've been having so much fun on this website, from digging up widgets (shout-outs to me for making this account before neocities blocked outside widgets), to figuring out that I can actually edit the css for some to personally stylize them to my taste... asrdkjghadfkgj I' M SO HYPED!
One of the reasons why I'm drawn to web things (codes, designs, development, etc) is because I genuinely feel like it's a space where anything is possible, you just have to figure out the right combination of codes. This is a philosophy that I apply to life itself as well, since as long as you have a will, you have a way.
Site-wise, I'm hella excited that I found a letterboxd widget, and realizing that I can customize the css (thanks to the author dropping this into the thread on reddit), that's led me to go digging into the elfsight rss feed that I have on site, and realizing that I can edit the css for that, too! This probably reads as beginner brain™ going on here, but there is no progress for me here without passion.
Since I've got a couple of widgets that are pretty customizable, I'd love to figure out how to build my own widgets one day, specifically one to pull extra data (like adding images) for a MyAnimeList feed.

One of the reasons why I came back (and actually started doing work on this account) is that I imagined a space for myself to create an aggregate media tracking/display site. One place to see what I'm watching, see what I'm reading, peep what I'm playing, hear what I'm listening to, etc.
After spending the morning fidding with the lastfm track widget on my sidebar and not being able to figure out how to configure certain things, I realize...I need better utlize this section for the time being and not treat it as "something to figure out later". Gonna dump the widget here for a bit.

Looking around at other ppls neocities, and I think I need to make this page a bit bigger 😭. I've also gotta figure out how to configure the webdeck player iframe thingy, cuz idk if I wanna keep the elfsight player (it makes me feel like I need to add something to the other side of my site 
).
